As per the invitation by Theology Faculty in Ruhr University – Bochum – Germany, I participated on 06th June in a presentation on Christians and Yazidis in Iraq.
The presentation was organized by Dr. Claudia Rammelt and attended by the faculty and university students and public interested in the topic.
My part of the presentation covered a short introduction on Assyrian Christians and Churches in Iraq, the challenges they face post ISIS, and CAPNI role and contribution towards the Christians and Yazidis in this critical time in terms of moral and material support and programs.
The presentation was followed by an open discussion with the audience.
The second presentation on Yazidis was introduced by Ms. Olivia Kamal, an Yazidi activist, who spoke with numbers on the massive crimes practiced by ISIS against Yazidis, and the current challenges mainly the survivals and traumatized women and children who are in need of clinical and psychological treatment and support.
